What to expect:
Students will learn facets of biomechanics including:
- What ‘posture’ actually means
- What factors play into having ‘good’ or ‘bad’ posture
- How posture affects movement and performance
- How to make corrections to posture:
- To decrease pain
- To increase performance in sports (and life)
- To decrease injury
Format:
Lecture & Discussion (50%)
Exercises and physical assessments (50%)
Space/AV Requirements:
Space: This certification can be delivered in a regular classroom, library, or gym space. Mats for the floor would be ideal but not necessary.
AV requirements: Screen to hook up laptop, internet connection.
